About

Hi! My name is Milana and I am a lover of all things related to food. Ever since I was a little one my mom would say I needed to have a piece of bread in my hands in order to be happy.
To this day, it’s still true.
So naturally, I love to go places in which food is the focus. Recently, I went on my honeymoon to Italy and we landed in a beautiful town in Sardinia called Gergei. It was here, where I was so inspired with the simple things made by local artisans. A dish crafted out of olive wood, a table setting with the perfect vessel to hold the most incredible food, a brass candle holder, a tapestry handcrafted by the sweetest people. Everything was so cool. Life was slow, simple, and beautiful. It was on this trip where I became so creatively inspired to draw the beauty that I saw all around me.
Our life is so fast paced in LA, and while on my trip I was able to slow down and experience the beauty in homemade pasta, grapes picked from the vine, and sheep grazing making the most incredible cheese. I could sit at a restaurant, eat, drink, and draw for hours on end. It’s a culture where no one would rush me to leave by placing the check on the table. I could just be, and sit in its beauty.
When I got back home, I continued to draw and seek out places that inspire me. My watercolors are places, things, moments, and people that I want a little snapshot of to keep forever.
